BHC4Ukraine

The churches are open from 9-4 daily for private prayer, with an area designated for prayer for Ukraine.

Busbridge Church has hosted several events for Ukranians who are settling in the Godalming area, and the church is being used as a social meeting space on a monthly basis.

Other ways to help

We recommend that financial gifts are made directly to the DEC Appeal as the UK Government will match donations from the public pound-for-pound up to £20 million, meaning your support will go even further. The DEC brings together 15 leading UK charities to distribute aid quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas.

Hambledon Ukraine Appeal

In Hambledon, as elsewhere, there is a clear desire to do whatever we can to support the people of Ukraine. Having explored a number of practical and financial ways, for the time being the Hambledon Appeal will collect money for the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC). The village has started a JustGiving campaign to share in the spirit of generosity, and provide people with updates.

The village is collecting donations via

  1. the Just Giving web site ttps://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hambledonukraineappeal,

  2. cash collection boxes at the shop, Merry Harriers and Nursery School.

  3. Hambledon Church’s electronic card reader is now located at the village shop to take donations for the Hambledon Ukraine Appeal too!
